Gooey Cocoa Brownies

Brownies always go over well and can be served with ice cream for an easy dessert.

Ingredients  

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 large eggs

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup walnuts (chopped – optional)

Instructions: 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°. Grease a 9×13 baking dish and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat together the sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Then add the nuts and stir in.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir together until just combined.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes – don't overbake.
