vegetable oil
(or other high heat oil for frying)
Dry Ingredients:

cup
bread flour
½
cup
self-rising flour

white sugar

tsp
baking powder
Wet Ingredients:

milk

large
egg
1

butter
(melted)

cream-style corn
(frozen)
Instructions:
Heat vegetable oil in a deep cast-iron skillet or in a deep fryer.
In a mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, self-rising flour, sugar, and baking powder.
In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, butter, and corn together.
Gently combine the wet and dry ingredients.
When the oil in the pan is hot (350° is best), drop the fritters by spoonfuls into the oil and fry until golden brown.
Line a platter with paper towels and place the cooked fritters on it. Keep warm in a warm oven unti ltime to serve.
