Buttercream Frosting or Icing

Ingredients  

  • ¼ cup crisco
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp milk

Instructions: 

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the Crisco and butter until creamy.
  • Continuing to beat, gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla.
  • Add the milk and beat for another few minutes until very light and creamy.
  • Cover and set aside until time to decorate.

Notes:

Make Ahead: Because this is quite stable, you can make this up a few hours before decorating with it.
