Oriental Ramen Salad

This is great salad for when you want something a little different than normal.

Ingredients  

  • 1 head Napa cabbage (or 1 bag of coleslaw)
  • 3 medium green onions (sliced)
  • 2 pkgs ramen noodles (crushed)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 cups sliced almonds (6oz pkg)

Dressing:

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 5 tsp soy sauce

Instructions: 

  • Wash the cabbage and cut or tear into bite-sized pieces.
  • Slice the green onions and add to the cabbage.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, saute the noodles in the butter until golden brown.
  • Remove from heat and add the sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and almonds
  • Allow to cool completely then add to the cabbage.
  • Combine the dressing ingredients and either pour over the cabbage close to serving time or serve it in a pitcher.
