Ingredients

  • 3 cups corn chex cereal
  • 3 cups rice chex cereal
  • 3 cups wheat chex cereal
  • 1 cup nuts (any combination)
  • 1 cup pretzels
  • 1 cup garlic bagel chips
  • 9 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 ⅛ tsp garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp onion powder

Instructions:

  • In a large microwavable bowl, combine the cereals, nuts, pretzels, and bagel chips. Set aside.
  • In a small microwavable bowl, melt the butter.
  • Pour the melted butter over the cereal mixture, add the other seasonings and stir until evenly coated.
  • You can prepare this in the microwave or the oven.
Microwave: Cook uncovered on High for 5-6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
Oven: Preheat the oven to 250. Bake the Chex mix for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Spread on paper towels or cookie sheets to cool then store in an airtight container.

Notes:

This is very versatile – you can use any combination of cereals, nuts, and pretzels.
This is the original Chex Party Mix recipe, but I increased the coating to 1 1/2 because it’s often a little dry and flavorless.
Make Ahead: You can easily make this ahead of time. Store in an air-tight container to keep it from becoming stale.
