Buttercream Frosting or Icing
This is a delicious, melt-in-your-mouth frosting that is stable enough to decorate with in advance.
Buttercream Frosting or Icing
Makes 2 1/2 cups

Ingredients
- ¼ cup crisco
- ¼ cup butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 Tbsp milk
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, beat the Crisco and butter until creamy.
- Continuing to beat, gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Add the milk and beat for another few minutes until very light and creamy.
- Cover and set aside until time to decorate.
Notes:
Make Ahead: Because this is quite stable, you can make this up a few hours before decorating with it.
