Hamburger Patties
While these may not be “true hamburgers” in meat-lovers’ eyes, they are the most tender hamburgers ever. The secret of these hamburger patties is that, similar to meatloaf, these have oatmeal and egg added to them.

Ingredients
- 2 lb ground hamburger
- 2 large eggs (slightly beaten)
- 1/3-1/2 cup rolled quick oats (or enough to absorb the egg )
- 1 ½ Tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 2 Tbsp BBQ sauce
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Slightly beat the egg then combine all the ingredients and press gently into patties.
- Either grill or cook in a skillet.
Notes:
Make Ahead: You can easily make these up ahead of time and freeze them or store them, covered, in the fridge until time to use.
These are extremely versatile – you can use pretty much any seasoning combination in them.
