This recipe is simple but yummy!
French Toast
This makes 12 large or 16 small pieces of French toast.It takes about 10 minutes per batch on the griddle

Ingredients
- 12 large slices bread (or 16 slices if you are using a smaller type of bread like french bread)
- 8 large eggs
- 1 ⅓ cups milk (or half & half or cream)
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the griddle.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together all the ingredients except for the bread.
- When the griddle is hot, place the slices of bread, one or two at a time, into the egg mixture.
- Turn the slices in the egg mixture until thoroughly saturated but not falling apart.
- Place the slices on the griddle and cook until the underside is golden-brown.
- Turn the bread and cook until the second side is golden.
- Serve immediately or keep warm in the oven or a crockpot.
