Ingredients

  • 8 bone-in chicken thighs (can use boneless, skinless too)
  • ½ cup rice vinegar
  • cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup sesame oil
  • 3 Tbsp chili garlic sauce (or red pepper flakes & a little more garlic)
  • 3 Tbsp garlic (minced)
  • salt

Instructions:

  • Place the chicken thighs in a gallon Ziploc bag.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the rest of the ingredients.
  • Set aside 1/2 of the mixture for the sauce then pour the rest of it over the chicken.
  • Seal the bag and marinate the chicken in the fridge for 1 hour, turning the bag once or twice.
  • Preheat the oven to 425°.
  • While the oven is heating, pour the reserved marinade in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Stirring occasionally, simmer until the sauce begins to thicken – about 5 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and arrange in a 9×13 baking dish. Discard the used marinade.
  • Brush 1/3 of the sauce over the chicken and bake for 45 minutes. After 10 minutes of baking, pour another 1/3 of the sauce over the chicken.
  • When the chicken is cooked, pour the remaining sauce over it and broil for about 5 minutes or until the sauce is beginning to caramelize.
