Homemade enchilada sauce is a step up from the canned version!

Ingredients  

  • 1 15oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 6oz can tomato paste
  • 1 ½ cups beef broth
  • ½ tsp salt (optional)
  • ¼ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp chili powder (more or less to taste)

Instructions: 

  • Mix ingredients in a saucepan until thoroughly combined.
  • Over medium heat, bring the sauce to a boil.
  • When it begins to boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Notes:

Make Ahead: This can easily be made up ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until time to use it.
